John Denver became a star through the folk-inspired songs he wrote, most of which are situated in Colorado. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in the love of Colorado and later moved to Aspen. Denver's anthems for his adopted state have drawn many to Colorado.
